Top Secret German Memo Reveals Euro to Be Abandoned!

Geez, give the guy a break. He said it was a top secret memo, after all.

Two in the dollar, one in the holler.

And the post has more content than ralph’s usual posts.

From the OP’s last line: “Would this be the solution?” , I took it to be a hypothetical.

And apparently, others have actually suggested this. Here’s an op-ed, for example, from a few months ago: Germany, Not Greece, Should Exit the Euro, July 2015. (Yes, that’s a real link.)

Just google the words Germany to exit Euro to find others.

Oh, here’s another one I just noticed, from just yesterday: Should Germany Leave the Euro?.

So yeah, people are actually talking about this, at least as a hypothetical.

But no public ‘top secret’ memo that says it is going to happen.

Godwinized in the OP.

And…

“Why do economists hate this woman?”

It’s just a typo; they meant to say that Europe is going to be abandoned. See, everybody’s going to have themselves declared a refugee and move to the US.

I don’t think Germany should immediately abandon Euros and reinstate Marks. I think they should cushion the transition by doing it through a series of gradual steps: the Euro, the Germo, the Gummo, the Groucho, the Chico, the Harpo, the Exapno, the Zeppo, the Marxo, and then finally back to Marks.

He’s clearly posing a hypothetical. For instance, he asks what currency traders would do, rather than what they will do.

I still expect to see someday a headline like:

This guy found a dirt cheap medicine based on dirt! Doctors hate him!

Was it over when the Germans harmed the World Dollar?! Hell no!

Sounds like something heard on AM radio and garbled in the type-lation.

“Well, it’s been a week of economic panic in Lake Wobegon, Minnesota.”

You bastard!
