While Gregory House is a brilliant mind and an excellent diagnostician, he is very arrogant, has no people skills, has a pill problem and is physically handicapped. I think those factors weigh against employing him at a teaching hospital.

Well, plus, when it comes to murder, a lot of them know they did something wrong and deep down, want to confess. Killing someone else is a hell of a thing, to paraphrase Will Muny. It’s hard for a lot of people to live with.
