Tough Trivial Feud

It was fun, thanks for hosting.

Sorry for the delay, third of four games now that the only half-way decent product that Microsoft puts out [Excel   ] has crashed on me. So I had to use the worst product Apple has ever put out [Numbers] to do the scoring for this round.

Wow! I’m amazed, given that googling for a Napoleonic battle turned up a one-point answer and my lousy guess at an ancient coin was, indeed, lousy.

  1. Alcohol
  2. No idea
  3. Neon
  4. William Henry Harrison
  5. Bubonic plague
  6. Vini vidi vici
  7. Hollywood High

  10. Euripides

Did I make it in the first 50?

Sorry Gala you are 51.

Yeah, it is a little odd to win with two zeros- but you got the two zeros in the lowest overall scoring categories. Good job.

My first forray into a top 5. Way to go Interrobang!?.

I’d like to contend that these are the same high school. What do the judges say? (Not that it would change the standings…) Thanks for the game, 5 time champ!

It certainly was challenging! I got hung up a bit on the Latin phrase, but it all seemed OK in the end–I placed better than I thought I would. Thanks for the game!

DEAD LAST!

Egads, I think I’ll do the next round.

Woo-hoo! I scored a silver! I started smacking myself for answering QED for the Latin phrase almost as soon as I posted it. If not for that…

Congrats, Interrobang!?

Many thanks for the game, 5 time champ!

:smack: Sorry, yes add 2 points to yours and sternvogel’s score as well.

Sixth place. Not bad for a guy who had his Harrisons mixed up.

Actually four points each, as 3acresandatruck and I each go from scoring 0 points to (2 x 2) on that question. I thus not only break the tie with Mullinator, but move ahead of kyla to boot. To be fair, tuberculosis and consumption are the same disease, so the people who put down those answers should also have their scores adjusted accordingly.

Good points and so noted, and good thing we aren’t playing for money!

don’t know if there’s still time, but here goes

  1. khat

Wow - can’t believe I’m the only one who said Krypton, I thought that would come to more peoples’ minds, being the name of Superman’s world of origin.
