Tought psychological question: Do movies change the way we think about events?

Movies have lots of scenes. It frequently cuts in an out of a scene, showing the best bits, showing the emotions, incasing the full spectrum of whats happening (a good movie anyway  ).

Now when Im picturing future or past events in my head, I think like a movie. I think of stuff thats happened as if it were a movie, with different scenes, different camera angles, cutting out the boring bits, using cinematic technique. Im sure Im not alone, but correct me if i am. :o

Now Ive grown up with movies, but what about 15th Century people? Would they be unable to comprehend the use of these techniques when renacting thoughts from past or future events in there mind? Would they instead just use regular view points because they have no concept of it?

Alternativly this can be applied to dreams. I know my dreams are almost like a movie (except a plausable plot), would peoples dreams have been more simplistic before film has expanded our minds to possiblilities?

Tough question, but maybe some research has been done?
