toward being a free man on the land

Through the use of force.

This one, for example.

From this old thread on the matter; Sovereign citizen tests his theories in practice; is shocked by the results.

Spic article? Huh?

Grammer nazis ya’ll are funny . I hope I’m not that difficult to read though, in all honesty. not my intent.
If I don’t help protect the smallest of the smallest humans, Like I would if someone killed a kitten or a puppy then I am morally bankrupt . Dont like MURDER well then don’t kill anyone .. WTF kind of statement is that?

Because they are laws, and declaring that they are “statutes” and don’t apply to you won’t do you any good at all with a cop or judge.

THats an L splc SPLC SOUTHERN POLICY LAW CENTER

If you don’t want to pay taxes, then don’t pay taxes. If you don’t want to get a building permit when you add on to your house, then don’t get a building permit. But when you go to court, arguing that you’re a freeman on the land, not a government owned corporation is not going to help.

The way to change the laws is to get people to agree with you that the laws should be changed. If you just don’t want to abide by the laws, then get good at evading the cops and stop pretending that the cops will let you go if you just tell them you don’t agree with the laws.

Gary Coleman died in 2010. Just sayin.

The confusion on the issue is why using capital letters (and that includes writing acronyms in all caps) is wise.

I believe this is the opening line of every SPLC article relating to something they disagree with.

Apparently freemen of the land have no use for intellectual property rights, and can steal material without duly citing their source.

marcmcroy, I have a good friend who hales from Puerto Rico, and I demand an apology.

Southern Poverty Law Center?

and force of law does not make it law

Lemurs (i/ˈliːmər/ lee-mər) are a clade of strepsirrhine primates endemic to the island of Madagascar. The word “lemur” derives from the word lemures (ghosts or spirits) from Roman mythology and was first used to describe a slender loris due to its nocturnal habits and slow pace
Glad I aint on of them

oops Lemur - Wikipedia
wow lil  huh mate

That’s exactly what I was thinking of.

I realize that I only own my house because all the rest of you have agreed to act as though I owned my house. If tomorrow you all change your minds and decide to act as if someone else owned my house, and when I tried to open the door some cops showed up and told me that if I didn’t leave they’d arrest me, and if I resisted arrest they’d shoot me, then that’s what would happen.

My only recourse would be to try to convince the rest of you all that you should act as if the house was mine, see, I’ve paid such and such money to such and such bank, here’s the piece of paper I signed, and so on and so on. And if they don’t agree with me, then I’m fucked. The cops will arrest me if I don’t leave. And they won’t listen to me when I explain that free people can’t lose their rights.

Of course free people can lose their rights. You think a negro slave in Alabama in 1845 would get much traction from his owner if the slave argued that he wasn’t a slave, he was a free human being? How did this free man get turned into a slave? By a bunch of people with guns and chains and locks and whips who were willing to use force if the slave didn’t obey.

A slave might try to escape, or might obey but look for any chance to subvert the system, or might throw themselves himself off a bridge, or might get a rock and sneak into the owner’s plantation house at night and smash in his skull. But a slave wouldn’t be so foolish as to think that the slavemaster would be shocked into helplessness merely because the slave refused to recognize the master’s authority.
