This happened a few miles from where we live. The video is amazing:

It looked like they were standing right under those power lines. Surprised no one got hurt.

Wow. I notice that the littlest kid had the idea to run first, but then saw that nobody else was running, and stayed put. Good instincts!
There goes the profit on that job.
Perhaps it’s just the camera angle, but I swear it looks as if the power lines were falling on them. :eek:
I’m seeing the aftermath… the kids and the guy looking at the disaster, the person that contracted the demolition team comes wringing his arms and shouting what the hell just happened.
The guy throws surreptitiously the detonation box to the kids and without saying anything alternatively puts up his hands, palms out, about the level of his head and points at the kids.
The kids look down at the detonator on their hands, then look up with a look of “WTF, dad?” on their faces.
Mad props to the camera guy for keeping the tower in frame.
