my husband has been driving for this company for about 6 months now and he is constantly having problems with his truck. he has put it in the shop at least 3 times for a mysterious oil leak that cant be found. and now his boss is telling him to prove he put in the shop or hes going to sue him for blowing the trucks motor! now he has all the necessary paperwork but im freaking out
can anyone tell me if the truck has no visible leak, then where is the oil disappearing too? my husband says it not smoking either so the oil disappearing is just crazy!
Oil leaks can be internal or external.
External usually wind up on the ground but due to location or airflow might not.
Internal leaks could go into the intake and be burned or into the cooling system.
A bad crankcase vent system could run a fair amount of oil through the intake with little or no visible smoke.
You say he had it in the shop for oil leaks. If there was no evidence of an oil leak, how did you hubby know there was a problem? Also didn’t the boss get a bill from the shop each time the truck went in?
I’m kind of confused here. Help me to understand.
the oil gauge is going hay wire. so every time he pulls into the terminal he checks it and its gone! his boss claims to not have received any paperwork from the shop
yes i watched him today while we were at the shop, and then several others came over and looked all over for leaks, smoke, smells. and no one found anything
his boss im assuming, he plays mind games all the time. he acts like his memory is selective. ok i will tell him to get copies. im just worried that the paperwork will “disappear”
Now I’m lost about suing for a blown motor. If the truck is in service and hubby took it to the shop again today to be checked out where is the blown motor?
And why would he threaten to sue? Sue an employee? Fire, sure, but sue?
Do this. Get copies of all the work orders. Make copies for you files. Give work orders to boss. Look for new job.
