My brother in law has a movie he claims that is a black market version of an early Tracy Lords flick.
Very covincing in that she seems rather young, and I do believe that it is indeed the young miss lords…
It has to do with couple hiring her to babysit and upon thier return from thier night out they catch her masturbating to a poster of John Travolta…( he even looks like a sweat hog in the poster!!) Then they proceed to supposedly teach the young babysitter all about sex…
My question is ,Does anyone know the flick I saw? Is that really Tracy?? Is this one of the movies that was banned since she was underage?? Or is the rest of the flick available in reproduction??

Your best bet would be to find out what name her character is known by and see if you can find it in this list.
If I was your in-law I would get rid of that movie quick. Those sex offender laws can be real strict and brutal. Although I’m not lawyer but I still wouldn’t feel safe with anything like that.
Rule of thumb: Traci Lords only made one porn film when she was of legal age. If the movie you saw was a porn film starring Traci Lords, and it was not Traci, I Love You, then she was underage.
Lets see, she was born in 1968 & did a flick or two, which she wasn’t supposed to do, when she was 16.

I watched Tommy Knockers for the first time a couple of years ago, and I noticed her in the movie. I thought it was sort of strange that I’d never seen her before (what with her appealing looks and all) so I went to imdb and looked up her filmography…oh, it’s that Tracy Lords :eek: Guess I won’t expect to see her in anything else, then.

As pointed out, the only US-legal TL hardcore flick is Traci I Love You – which was one of her lamest. However some of her vids are available in other parts of the world – though remember US customs are jumpy these days…
(BTW may I say the illicitness of a TL vids is purely a legal determination. That on the screen was NO child, no way, no how… at the time it was unremarkable to cast a character in a porno as a “high-schooler”, indeed the usual problem was often she would be obviously pushing 30)
(And the scenario of “the couple walks in on the masturbating babysitter” would narrow it down to… oh about every third porno made in the relevant time period…)
As to the bit about “the rest of the flick available” – yes, some of TL’s vids (where her presence was not pervasive) were re-cut to remove her scenes, or parts of multiple vids were “mixed” into one new one, or previously cut or even brand new footage was added in her place (e.g. that avant-garde auteur and American National Treasure Greg Dark’s epic masterpiece of 20th-century cinema, New Wave Hookers ) Hard to tell, however, since when they bothered to they usually removed all references and re-packaged, and even re-titled. If it looks like a young TL, it probably IS a young TL, this was before the pornstlets all became totally plasticized.

Keeping in mind that all of her underage videos were supposed to have been taken off the market long before 1988 rolled around, imagine my surprise when I walked into the local Asian run mom & pop video store in January 1988 and there in the adult section was New Wave Hookers with Traci’s name prominently displayed.
Rented it and sure enough she was in it; she played the devil who ended up fucking an angel.
Yeah, she was underage when she made them, but so what? I would be that a not insignificant amount of porn at the time included underage actors.
And backing that up - given the removal in time, her fame, her obvious willingness and everything else (including that she convincingly lied at the time) how hard SHOULD (not can or would, but should) the law come down on someone caught with a video, given that its a cult classic. (not that being a cult classic excuses underage sex)
