It’s the only store around here to still sell Two Buck Chuck (how much it actually costs now days I know not), which is the perfect wine for those that want to blow their brain cells out at the end of the day but don’t want to spend a lot doing so.

I just bought a couple of bottles for that exact purpose. They were $3.99 each. Thanks Trump

Thanks everyone! We have returned from TJ’s with a haul for the suitcase (and the plan of returning tomorrow).

We got a starter package of the chili-lime rolled corn tortilla chips so we could try them, and commend all of you who suggested them. Will be purchasing more tomorrow. Damn, they’re good. It’s not the chili-lime that makes them so irresistible, though that’s quite nice: it’s the corn chip, which really tastes like corn. Yum.

We decided not to get any frozen foods, but did buy an embarrassing amount of cheese, including the recommended Madrigal Swiss. Other items we scored include natural peanut butter, smoked trout, tuna, English muffins, some selections from the spice section, olive oil, and … well, I can’t remember everything we picked up, but let’s just say our suitcase shall be full and it’s thanks to all the suggestions above.

Hehe. So glad you like them. They definitely have everything going for them.

Welcome to the Dark Side.

To be fair it went up past 2 bucks around here long before Trump. It was $2.99 in 2023 the last time I bought it. They still called it “Two Buck Chuck” on the sign though.

Yeah, it was at about $3.50 when Trump was elected, and it’s still going up. It’s still a pretty good deal though.

My daughter says their gluten-free bagels are surprisingly good.

They do a frozen key lime pie that will make you suck your cheeks inside out it’s so tart/sweet/good. Their frozen desserts in general are enormously >satisfying<. Like you can eat a tiny slice and just feel replete. They don’t do the insane foods that make you want to keep eating forever; that’s why I love them.

I also love their tortillas. I can’t explain what is different about them, but I can just eat them plain like a slice of really good bread. And they really elevate anything you make with them, the way a good pizza crust does.

I didn’t mention it above since being frozen they’re not suitable to take home on an airplane but I like Hold the Cone. Coming in various flavors they’re an ice cream cone about two inches long. Worth two or three bites, they’re a nice, small dessert after a big meal. Unfortunately, not being individually wrapped, the cone part is pretty flexible rather than being like a crunchy Drumstick but you can’t have everything.

I like those as well.
