Tragic: What do you think of the new Lacy Peterson type pregnant woman disappearance?

I learned long ago that, regardless of what I want something to mean, and regardless of how well I write and rewrite a sentence or a paragraph, some people are determined to be offended by some things and will make things “mean” whatever they have to mean to allow them to be offended.

Jesus Christ.

Actually, I chose the more charitable interpretation of your words. I simply assumed that you didn’t mean that killing one of these women was more morally outrageous that killing than the other. That would be a sick thing to say. Instead, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and assumed you meant that the “moral difference” was in each of these women’s personal lives before this crime.

But fine. You didn’t mean either of those things? Then please offer a single plausible meaning for the “moral difference” you saw between this case and the Laci Peterson case that is consistent with what you said.

Has anyone in the Buckeye state not had a child fathered by this cop?

Prolly the bleach, not the diaper. I’m pretty sure that bleach trumps dirty diaper by a wide margin, especially when poured liberally all over the floors.

If it is her baby, I wonder if someone stole her intending to pass her off as their own, not realizing that she was half black.

You are absolutely correct. See? We agree about the meaning after all.

My follow-on comment clearly stated that, regardless of how either woman lived her life, we humans are always more emotionally affected by the murder of a pregnant woman than we are by the murders of most others, and that there is a perfectly good reason for this. As long as you’re assuming things, please feel free to assume that I share those emotions.

:raises hand:

Cool. I was starting to get worried.
