Nice. I miss Gord Downey’s weirdness and Road Apples was a great album.
I was a casual fan growing up (I’m 46 now), but over the last few years I have grown to love their catalog of music.
As dumb as this sounds watching that embedded YouTube clip in the Rolling Stone article made my eyes start to tear up a little. I can’t wait to hear the whole album tomorrow!

Road apples was a great album. This is good news.
I saw the Tragically Hip in concert sometime in the 90s at the Toledo Zoo (the zoo had an ampitheater). great show. Before it started, Gord yelled out “we’re going to wake up some animals tonight!”
I am a big fan of the Tragically Hip.
I don’t think that I had ever heard of them until I happened to see the movie Long Time Running a few years ago. It documents the band’s last tour after Gord Downie has received his terminal cancer diagnosis. Obviously it is a good introduction to the band’s music - it made me a fan. It is also one of the most affecting and emotional music documentaries ever.
I still recommend it to people who have never heard of the Tragically Hip. No-one is ever unhappy to have watched it.
