It’s supposed to air in 2014 and like the title says is a reboot of the famed series with Carl Sagan.

Seems like a good idea. More then most sciences, Astronomy, and especially Cosmology, has really advanced in the last 30 years
The trailer is a little overly-dramatic though.
Yeah, but that’s de rigueur these days. I liked the space ship and the Trekish/2001ish imagery. The interspersed animation was a little puzzling but I assume has a purpose given Tyson’s role in the project. IDK, we’ll see.

I didn’t want to actually spell it out since it otherwise seems promising, but we have to remember this IS Fox we’re talking about so Jesus is standard equipment. 
He just did an AMA on reddit specifically about Cosmos. I can never get used to the reddit format, but he seems confident that the reboot will capture the spirit of the original. I do hope so.
