I was on Tramadol for 30 days, following my recent heart surgery. It did a damn good job with both the pain and depression. (I had been belting out Rodgers & Hammerstein songs in the ICU . . . and nobody told me to stop.)
In fact I didn’t even know it was an antidepressant until after the fact. But when my prescription ran out, I started to feel all the aches and pains it had been masking . . . and I discovered that my chronic depression had returned.
I didn’t notice any change in my sexuality whatsoever. But what we really need is a drug that takes care of the pain, and also E.D.
Well unless you suffer from P.E., tramadol wouldn’t affect your sexuality at all. It’s not libido-enhancing or erection-promoting; rather it just prevents spilling your goods before you’re ready.
Other than perhaps making orgasm fairly difficult to achieve.
I started taking Tramadol in 2008 for some back pain, and instead of it helping with that, it lifted my chronic dysthymia that I’ve struggled with for YEARS. I am still on it every day. It’s lost its main effect however and it’s a nightmare to try to ween off of. Apparently Tramadol has many off-label uses…
The fact that tramadol is a combination of SSRI-action along with the traditional features of an opiate is what makes it such a fantastically effective treatment for intractable P.E. (of course this is just my theory)
You, as someone who doesn’t suffer from P.E. (I’m presuming), don’t notice a difference between the regular opiates (hydro-, oxycodone) or the tramadol; both work to effectively prevent you from reaching orgasm (after anything more than a single dose, a single time). But for someone like me, the regular opiates simply aren’t enough; they don’t work to prevent my P.E. The same is true for SSRIs alone.
It wasn’t until tramadol came along that the features of both of these types of medications were combined together into one pill. And I stumbled upon it’s use for my (previously untreatable) out-of-this-world P.E. completely by accident. And my life has improved in such cascading, remarkable ways; I never would have hoped to have what I have.
Sort of a hijack, but do those rings (glans and cock) actually prolong orgasm? The claim is that by preventing ejaculation, the fun can continue-does it?
