For all you armchair travelers out there: Russian Rail (RZhD) filmed the view from the Trans-Siberian Railway (during the day) resulting in about 7 days of footage. Look out the window, listen to someone read Tolstoy’s *War & Peace *or Gogol’s *Dead Souls *to you (in Russian), or just listen to the rumbling of the wheels as you see Lake Baikal glide by and trace your progress on Google Maps.
It’s pretty nifty, all in all!
Of course, one day I hope to actually do the *real *Trans-Siberian but for the moment this will have to do
