Long story short, there are two English translations of this work. My research has lead me to determine:
a) everyone cribs their reviews from amazon.
b) there is exactly one person that likes the Pembridge trans. and one person that likes the Mitchell trans. They have the typical sort of “the other one doesn’t capture the feeling of the text/is too literal” vs. “the other one is too vague and gets stuff wrong.”
c) my fingers are still too chilled to type, imparting thankful brevity.
I have the opportunity to pick one up tomorrow, but am wondering if anyone has experience with them both and could recommend one. Failing that, if anyone’s read either translation and would like to comment, please do so.
