TrapCall-any experiences?

I’ve known about this service for about a year or so. It’s a phone service which “un-blocks” any private call that comes in to your phone, giving you the option of answering the call or not knowing the identity of the caller. It’s relatively cheap too, the basic plan is something like $10/month. They offer more advanced, expensive plans that have additional perks but the basic one just unblocks calls.

I’ve always wanted to try this out, really just for the sheer curiousity. I HATE blocked calls. Well, they annoy me at least and I’d love to have fun with the people thinking they are “private” if I had this service. But, for one reason or another I’ve never tried it. Has anyone here had any experience with TrapCall? Or known anyone that has? Is it legit?

Since he OP is looking for opinions, let’s move from GQ to IMHO.

Beyond the monthly fee, the thing to watch out for is that when people call you, you will be doubling your cell phone minute usage.

The reason for that is that you have to forward all your calls to TrapCall, and then essentially TrapCall is calling you back - so you are paying for both an outbound call and inbound call. Plus on carriers like Sprint, call forwarding charges are separate - they aren’t part of your minute package. Also, there will be a longer delay for all your callers to get to you, vs. if your phone didn’t have to forward the call.

I don’t have any experience with the service myself, but gleaned the information by reading their FAQ’s and some of the press articles.
