Trapped in a bathroom: did she over-react?

You are one sneaky bastard.
I admire that.

I would think that you of all people could make do with materials on hand.

Not an overreaction. What, she’s supposed to stay in a toilet for three days in order to save her boss having to replace some drywall? Just how subservient is she supposed to be?

Also, she didn’t say that actually being trapped made her feel like she was going to die. She said her anxiety caused her to feel like that. It’s not surprising that someone trapped like that would feel some anxiety.

I know this was a joke, but note that she did try the vents first. She just couldn’t get into it - not tall enough or not strong enough.

The news reporters probably goaded her. She probably gave a perfectly reasonable response initially, but then after being asked for the third or fourth time how it made her feel, she probably then elaborated on how panicked she felt. They then only air the “colorful” response.

Yeah, the “news” does that a lot.

Oh no, I’m not saying I’m not impressed; I am. And I’m not sure I would have thought of it either. I just think that the journalists stating that she “tunneled out just like in Shawshank” is a bit of a stretch since what she did is really a far cry from what happened in the movie.
