Blimey. Is this ‘trends you would like to see return’ or ‘reasons why the 1930s/1940s/1950s were better than today’?
agreed, crusoe…i’ve been seeing a lot of posts like “what young kids do/did.” “what young kids wear/wore”. “how young kids act/acted.” “why young kids are hated by the world for how then dress, what they do, and how they act/were hated by the world for how then dressed, what they did, and how they acted.”
Well, in many ways, not all, of course, those ancient days were better than today. Like in the 60s, everybody protested, but no one shot kids in school and parents could spank their kids without neighbors calling the cops on them and they being sent to jail. Parents SPANKED their children, not beat them.
Well, Sublime, if it makes you feel any better, I used to get spit on for what I wore by people my own age…
I don’t think anyone wants to go back to the old days-they just want the good stuff to come back. And leave the bad stuff behind.

Normal colored hair. I don’t care if you choose a haircolor compeletly different from your own, just make sure it’s one that’s found in nature.

Malls closed on Sundays. Every Sunday I miss this one more and more.
Small Towns.
I used to live in one pop# 4500 but now the population is over 100,000 and the place is going 24/7, crime is up, forests are cut down for new gated communities, we have had murders and rapes, drugs can be easily bought and the mom and pop stores are all gone. So are the great empty fields and vacant lots, the fields of grass and ditches with clean water.

Ugg boots are still sold in America. When we were in the SF Bay Area, my SO was an asst. mgr. of an upscale shoe store. The Ugg boots flew off the racks, even though they all started at US$100.00 a pair.
I found the same shoes online direct from Oz going for AUS$20.00 a pair.

oh, and just so i don’t look odd in this collection, i’d better say that i wish that men were men, women were helpless, children called everyone older than them sir and were thrashed if they didn’t, shops were never open, society was all white and everyone on television was in black and white and slept in seperate beds. and there were no gay people. :rolleyes:

One poster wants a return to children being spanked, seen and not heard and a “normal black person’s hairdo”.
I get the feeling that certain posters here would actually like to be living in the 1950s, when children and negroes knew their place. Personnally, it gives me the creeps.
