Someone wrote a short bit about this interview that I thought was very interesting. This author asked the question: why did Lott hint that he was persecuted for being Christian? After all, 90% of his most obvious political enemies, the Democrats, are Christian. The author wonders out loud if it’s because many of the most persuasive arguments in the media came from conservative pundits who were Jewish.
Now, I don’t believe this is what he meant. I think that he was actually associating widespread atheism with whatever vast left-wing conspiracy he was seeing. But it’s still interesting to note that he apparently still doesn’t realize just what it is that’s coming out of his mouth…
