This one is somewhat fuzzy but in the song Woke up this Morning (The Sopranos theme song) by A3 (Lyrics) the prologue refers to the song’s central character reflecting on his mortality and his love for the music of Charles Mingus, J.R. Monterose, Jackie Mclean, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Lester Young, Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, and Howlin’ Wolf.
