Tried some Maruchan cup noodles. Same "meh" taste as in college 30 years ago. Any better brands now?

I don’t understand this. The broth is so strong that most people I know have to use less of it. That stuff always knocks me down. The real problem is that it tastes nothing like what it’s supposed to be.

Well, I certainly agree it doesnt taste of this world. But apparently your circle of friends and mine are from different planets because in my circle the broth sucks in both taste and strength.

Unless of course you are referring the overpowering strength being mainly that of salt flavor. That I could see. Or its that wussy generation X thingy

My only complaint in earnest, or maybe not so earnestly is the Nong Shim Logos…

Awesome!

Feels very… very, um Very Cloverfield shadow corporation.

You’d probably have to head to an Asian supermarket to find them in the US (if it’s even possible), but the Japanese have quite good “up-scale” ($4-5) instant ramen. Their liquid soup bases taste much better than the packets of powder.

I DID once buy a package of udon noodles at the store I work at that was close to $4 for the package. It was pretty elaborate, but I didn’t care much for the noodles themselves.
