Well, I’d put the Travers over the Breeders Cup, as the Travers is the older race by 120 years, is always at Saratoga, and is run before the Breeders Cup. American Pharoah lost to Keen Ice in the Travers, and yes, the sportswriters declared the Breeder’s Cup to be the Grand Slam, but it doesn’t mean I have to agree with them. Plus, the Travers is limited to three-year-olds.
Sounds good to me.
Good for Justify. I hope these years are like the 70’s when we had a couple of Triple Crown winners. It’s exciting to see such accomplishments!
On a side note, I almost never gamble. But this year I went down to the OTB put some money down on Gronkowski. Some place bets, Exacta, and some wheels on the trifecta. After discounting the bets I lost and the overall amount bet, I came out over $770 ahead. I think when I go a long time without betting the “beginners luck” thing kicks in again!
