You talking about the Garland issue? I agree that that was shameful behavior.
100% this. Pres. Obama has every right to have his nominee voted on.
A younger more partisan version of myself might have jumped on the bandwagon concerning Clinton. Actual perjury is a serious problem. At this point in time, I think the constant persecution of Clinton was problematic. I also have a problem with Garland never having a vote. I think we have become hyper partisan which leads to existential vulnerabilities.
Nixon? Yeah. That watergate nonsense meant impeachment proceedings were reasonable.
Is the lying disqualifying? In an ideal world I would hope perjury was treated seriously. Practically speaking, especially concerning sexual or other activity as a teen or 20 years past I think this is one of those things that people who are in the situation Kavanaugh is in, the behavior we would like to see is vastly different than the behavior the person on the hot seat thinks the court of public opinion wants to see.

Gee, bad ol’ disruptive octopus could have told you to ‘fuck off cunt.’ Nope, even in the pit I engage constructively with anyone who is being the least bit civil.
