I need a link to the trainwreck page. I briefly checked out that other board and it made me feel weird. Like it was one of those celebrity snark boards. Who wants to think of Dopers as celebs with fans that hate them? I don’t quite understand it. Plus I wasn’t savvy enough to navigate it well.

Oh man things are getting spicy in here. Seems like everyone is trying to use reverse reverse reverse psychology about how they feel about either board and their ability to get offended. I’m an out of the closet double agent so I am obviously the person that was laughing at the class clown making fart noises anyways. Even if he does just want attention so what? It’s funny! I like funny things!
I just don’t see the point of trying to disguise how I feel about comments people make by swelling up with self righteous pride and saying “hmph that is sooooo immature and unoriginal whatever I can’t believe they think anyone cares about what is posted…I’ll just take a peek anyways”
I think most people care what is said about them even if it people who only know their online selves. I mean we post hear a lot and can get a pretty good sense of what each person is like. So when you’re teased, yeah, its personal. I’ve been ripped apart both places but that’s my problem because I opened myself up to it.
I just feel like everyone harumphing, turning away with their nose in the air, arms folded in defiance and then peeking out of the corner of our eyes when no one is looking, isn’t fooling anyone. Everyone wants attention. You go crazy without attention from others. Sometimes you want it and sometimes you don’t. When I want attention I shoot plastic pellets across the street at my neighbors window and when I don’t I turn off my cell phone and hide out all weekend reading.
Oh and why is a tall post count an ego boost? I feel like it makes me look MORE schizophrenic. I wish I could get like 200 deleted off my number.
I wouldn’t sweat it, with myself, **Guin ** and **Liberal ** posting in this thread, your post count looks unremarkable. Some of us appear to be addicted to the Dope, it doesn’t look like you are there yet. It is obviously not an Ego boost and I have no clue why anyone would think it was.
I am having some problems parsing your post. Are you saying it is odd that we don’t like what posted elsewhere or that no one is admitting that socks annoy them. If it is the second, I will admit that the socks that come to troll do annoy me. In fact I find the clever ones more annoying than the obvious juvenile ones.
