Trouble With Internet Video

Started yesterday while attempting to watch CSI on fancast.com. The video pauses every few seconds. So I went to CBS.com and tried to watch it there, doing the same thing.

I’ve never had trouble with it before. Anyone have advice on how to fix this?

It’s probably a routing issue. Somewhere between your ISP and the CBS servers is a bottleneck. All you can do is sit it out while a new route eventually sorts itself out.

What is your home connection speed? A slow DSL line might have issues keeping up with a high bandwidth signal. Also, as GuanoLad points out it could be a bottleneck between you and the video server. In that case you have little recourse but to wait and try again later.

I’m not sure what the connection speed is, but when I ordered the internet service, I opted for the fastest connection available offered by the company. And I’ve never had trouble with this before, I use fancast (or CBS, ABC, etc etc) almost everyday, and didn’t have a problem until yesterday.
