True facts about strange animals

I’m not much of a YouTube guy, but there’s no doubt there’s some useful information there amongst the Justin Bieber homages.

Every Thursday, some guy posts a video containing true facts about something or other. Mostly odd and somewhat disgusting animals. And one about Morgan Freeman. I think there’s a rule that says Morgan Freeman has to be in every 5th movie. In fact, although I assume this gentleman (zefrank1) narrates his own stuff, it sounds like Morgan Freeman. But I digress. So far there have only been five videos but each is a wondefful amalgamate of interesting tidbits and snarks. If the National Geographic ran more things like this, they wouldn’t need to make prepper reality shows in order to attract viewers.

Most of these are rated R for language. NSFW

Those are so funny. I loved the Baby Echidnas video… I need to subscribe to that channel.

Okay, checked 'em out and got lost over there for a while. ZeFrank is a pretty funny guy. His vid about the sloth is interesting… Such a strange creature …

I like the way the Surinam toad raises her young in skin pockets.

He covers a lot of subjects well, but I prefer the animal vids so far. It makes me uncomfortable to watch those where he’s facing the camera. The dude always looks like someone put a cattle prod up his butt.

True facts are so much better than the other kind of facts.

Unless you’re a politician or a religious leader. Both types are generally richer and more powerful than myself, so I can’t accept your logic completely. Facts are just as nebulous as statistics.

Is Morgan Freeman odd or is he somewhat disgusting?

Nitpick: His. It’s the male that carries the eggs embedded in his back.

No, it’s the female that carries the eggs in her back. The male, however, is the one who gathers up the fertilized eggs and places them on her back, where they implant.

There are a number of other frogs and toads in which the male carries the eggs, or sometimes tadpoles.

Oops. Right you are - I must have been thinking of a different species. I think I got this wrong in another recent thread too.

The Seahorse?

Well, he’s the principal vector for freemanic paracusia. Take that for what it’s worth.

One fact the Freeman video missed: Chuck Norris once lost a fight because Morgan Freeman narrated his defeat.

That’s got to be the same voice of this video I’ve been addicted to for a while scientifically proving that cats are better djs than dogs.

Yeah, definitely the same voice. And based on further viewing of zefrank1’s videos, he doesn’t do the animal ones as I had thought. I could get a lot more babes if I had that voice.

No, it was a frog or toad, just not the Surinam toad, I guess.

You like that???

The first time I saw that… that… whimper… horror on a documentary it gave me nightmares.

It’s one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen.

The humor is slipping IMO

“…it would be the world’s most deadly predator, but only if the world slowed way the fuck down.”
