I don’t see why, personally; it’s hard to imagine anyone suggesting eating melted ice cream over carbonized cake.
Nah, it’s good, really. Or was good. Why would it be horrifying?* Make sponge cake, bash some fruit around, buy ice-cream (never tried making it myself) and make meringue. It’s not difficult to make because I know I made it way back when. Nowadays, I’d be far too lazy, and if I wanted fruit and cake and ice-cream and meringue, I suppose I’d just shove them all together in a bowl and scoff the resulting mess. The happy scruffiness of living alone.
But all the fruit flavoured jelly “salads” with vegetables incarcerated in sweet jelly/jello - they do sound odd.
- I just realised it’s a bit horrifying in terms of avoiding being fat and unhealthy. Fair enough.
And then fried ice cream becomes a problem, right?
No, really, the cake survives uncarbonised and the ice-cream remains cold.
How would you fry ice-cream?
Jeez… here’s the wiki page.
These folks have put their stomachs on the line to cook and eat some of those truly awful looking or not so awful looking recipes.
Now my five year old is cross examining me about what I’m laughing at. So THANKS!
