I can’t think of a better job for him.
It’s a shovel ready project.
Okay, can I just step in here and point out to new poster sear that clicking the box that says “Quote” on the right hand side of a post will quote the post for a reply, and include a link to the quoted post as well as the quoted poster’s name?
The quotation & notation system that you’re using, sear, in lieu of an easy click is really annoying.
President Pants-on-Fire has until tomorrow to provide proof of the alleged wiretapping of President Obama. It looks as if he has nothing to show, which will only settle once and for all the fact that you cannot believe one word that comes from this traitor’s mouth. As if further proof were needed.
Sure hope Iran doesn’t renege on its nuclear deal or North Korea make major advancements on its missile program, because if all we have to go on is our Liar-in-Chief’s say-so, I ain’t buyin’ it without confirmation from a reliable source.
That’s not a bug, that’s a feature.
Or what? Serious question: how does anyone make him do anything? He just ignores requests, like he has ignored the request to produce his tax returns.
I don’t mean this as a snarky rhetorical question. Really. I’d like to know how anyone can enforce anything on him.
Only Vlad. He’s the only one.
“Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” — where have I heard that before?
When a Democrat is accused of doing something nefarious (and anything done by a Democrat is assumed prima facie to be nefarious) the default position is that the accused must provide concrete proof that whatever he/she is accused of doing never happened. No presumption of innocence here, buckaroos, no siree!

Or what? Serious question: how does anyone make him do anything? He just ignores requests, like he has ignored the request to produce his tax returns.

In this wiretapping case, nothing will happen to him legally. I think the request has even been made not to him but to the Justice Department. But this could be the final blow to any credibility that Traitor Trump hoped to have, ever, period. Why would anyone – Americans, allies, literally anyone – ever want to believe this compulsive liar?

If there is any punishment when(not if) he can’t produce the evidence, it’s the people asking for the evidence that will be punished.

You know that that saying only applies when there is a reasonable chance that no evidence would be available, right? So why are you using it in this case? As others have pointed out, there’s no magic invisible wiretap fairy. If there was a tap, Trump now has access to the records of it. Absence of evidence that SHOULD BE PRESENT is, in fact, very strong evidence of absence.
But everybody knows that. So again, why are you using it?
Traitor Trump loses either way. No evidence to present? Then he is definitively a LIAR! Evidence to present? Well, it will show that not only did President Obama not order it personally, something he would have been unable to do, but a court at some point was shown enough evidence implicating one or more of Trump’s goons in something criminal that the court was concerned enough to order wiretapping.

But there will be no consequences to him. He will just continue beating his lying gums.
UNLESS the Dems make a big comeback in the 2018 elections. Those are the only consequences to Trump that will matter. The question is whether the damage his administration will do in the next four years can be undone.
I figure he’ll be impeached sooner or later. This’ll just be one more in the mix against him.

Right. His whole political career is based on bullshit. It began with birtherism and hasn’t abated since.
There are enough stupid and partisan people around that another shovel of shit isn’t going to make any difference. Indeed, their worldview has already incorporated the fact that Obama wiretapped Trump no matter what happens next.
One thing that trump seems to understand is that a lot of people out there, on both the left and right, like to believe cynical hypotheses, and will never challenge them. And frequently engage in moral equivalences. He’s speaking the language of the general public.

It was an extension of the quoted exchange between Gyrate and Siam Sam. And I guess I should’a used a smiley …
(The rest of the post was all mine, and — at least for me — quite serious.)

In order for that to happen, Congress has to turn against him. Do you realistically see any possibility of that happening? I hope you can say you do-- I don’t. I suspect many of them are privately disgusted by the man but the are too afraid of losing votes back home.

…

And that the real reason Obama is still in Washington is not because his daughter is in school, but because he is running a “shadow government” with the aim of sabotaging Trump.

And, sadly, of Congress.

The Republicans are in a rough spot, and now even President Trump knows it.
“Nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated.” President Trump
Some Republicans have drunk the Kool-aid.
Speaker Ryan is trying to drum up support for what he’s trying to ram through the house.
“This is the chance, and the best and only chance we’re gunna get.”
Speaker Paul Ryan ~17/03/09 making a PowerPoint presentation plying for support for the GOP’s ACA health care replacement plan

The Republicans are in a rough spot, and now even President Trump knows it.
…
I hope to God you’re right, but I’m not convinced. Can you point to some hard evidence of this (so I can at least sleep at night)? Yeah, McCain has been making some noises… but Trump and the Trumpsters will just ignore him, as his *demands *have no teeth, and anyway, he rolled over for Trump even after Trump insulted him over his POW time, so his credibility is crap.
Please, please… some evidence that the Republicans think they’re in a “rough spot.” I don’t believe Trump will ever accept that not everyone likes him.
