Trump accuses Obama of wiretapping him

This guy endorsed Trump and apparently now wants him impeached.

ROTFLMAO. Would you like to make a bet?

BobLibDem does tend to get a little overexcited from time to time. If Nixon didn’t get prison time, Trump certainly won’t. Impeachment, however…

No, it’s intended to support the view that he’s a pathological liar. Remember the dancing Muslims in New Jersey? The claims first that he couldn’t release his tax returns (he could) and then that he would (he hasn’t)? The new healthcare plan that he had that was nearly finished, and his plan to defeat ISIS that was better than the generals’ one? He says whatever comes into his head that he thinks ought to be true as if it were. That’s not “exaggerating”; that’s full-on bullshitting.

You’ll get RSI with all that handwaving.

Ok.

And you know… how?

I don’t know so much as I believe what he said - He had no business ties or relationships with Russia per what the Democrats suspect and accuse him of.

The irony, it burns. That’s exactly what I think your side’s doing with him. Accuse first and hope that leads to evidence. Anything.

In Trump’s case I think he’s seen the evidence. I think it’s why he abandoned support for Flynn.

We’ll see though, won’t we.

I can honestly say I couldn’t care less what that guy thinks. So what.

“This whole Watergate thing is FAKE NEWS! That Deep Throat fella leaked information illegally, illegally I say!” Richard Nixon, 1973.

Nixon was a crook all right, but he’s a choir boy compared to Don The Con. If Dorito Mussolini swallowed a nail, he’d shit out a corkscrew.

Nixon didn’t commit treason. Pence isn’t Ford. No way does Pence pardon him without the utter destruction of the Republican Party. This will end in prison time.

Ok. I’ll take your word for it, so long as this doesn’t devolve into five pages of birther talk

The birth certificate? I think there was enough to question it. Dancing Muslims? Meh. Probably saw what I remember seeing, people in other countries happy that we got attacked. The tax issue? Again, meh. Personally I think he should have released them but don’t consider it an outrageous lie that he hasn’t. It’s simply not in his interest to do so now, what with the sharks swimming about. But I do wish he would at some poiint. Health care? An issue that’s going to take awhile, what with everyone’s different interests and concerns. If he were a dictator I’m sure he’d put something in. Since he isn’t he has to go along with what best can be done to fix it.

So as you can see, on the whole not much so far that convinces me he’s the pathological liar the left is attempting to do. An exaggerator? Yep. A person to be taken a hundred percent literally? Nope. Overall though, I think he’s doing and will do the gist of what he’s said.

Collection and unmasking are two different things. Collection takes place at a certain point in time, and unmasking of US persons can occur anytime after that: hours, days, months, years, decades. If you don’t know this elementary fact, you should not lecture anyone on what is “technically impossible.”

You can literally watch him say this: “No, no, no… that did not happen. I’ve said this for many weeks… That never happened. That never happened.”

Are you denying that it is Devin Nunes in that video? Are you denying that in that short clip, he denied the wiretap claim like, a dozen times?

I have not even once said that I know what, if any, his Russian business ties are. But what I do know sure smells fishy. A number of campaign associates either proven or implicated to have Russian ties. A Republican party plank critical of Russia being struck specifically and directly by his campaign. A refusal to release tax returns (which, granted, could have other reasons, but could also be hiding ties).

Please. Trump provides ample evidence of corruption. To use an old saying, he lies like a rug. Not exaggeration, flat-out lying. Repeatedly representing reality as something other than what it is. It’s not a long stretch to think that his corruption extends to Russian ties.

But while we’re at it, it was your side that perfected the art of accusation. If it does happen without evidence, I see it as poetic justice. You made your bed, now you get to lie in it.

Evidence like Fox News reports that even they are backing away from. Yeah, okaaaaaay…

You should care that evidence shows support for your guy is steadily shrinking. As of this writing, he can’t even get enough backers for that healthcare reform!

How “minimal” would be okay with you? Suppose we find out that agents of the Russian government asked his campaign team to change the Republican platform about Ukraine, and Trump gave the effort his blessing? It’s just a party platform; nothing enforceable about it; and Trump didn’t instigate it, but he did know about it. Would that be too much for you, or would you let it slide; where is the line for “minimal”?

How do we know Hewey isn’t one of those Russian shills?

He is proving himself useful in that regard.

Could you clarify for a foreigner why a former member of the Trump transition team is allowed to stay as the House Intelligence Chairman if that committee is dealing with the possibility of … dubious ties between members of that transition team and Russia?

When Comey declared publicly that the FBI investigates this, I expected Nunes to resign or to be replaced by a Republican who is not tainted by the - at the very least - appearance of a conflict of interests.

Well, you see, here in America things like that only matter when the people in question are Democrats. It’s okay when they are Republicans. It’s right in the Constitution. True fact!

An expert on conflicts of interest has already examined the issue and has found nothing.

Nah, you don’t just get to “meh” that away. What exactly was there that was questionable?

Well, we won’t really know until Trump’s investigators get back from Hawaii. I hear they can’t believe what they’re finding.

That would explain why they never left.

The fact that they were Trump insiders was reported by the NYT. If they weren’t unmasked at the time, how would the NYT know who they were? Posting condescending nonsense doesn’t change the basic fact that your theoretical timeline doesn’t account for the NYT knowing the identities before ‘yesterday’. If you can’t explain this elementary fact, you shouldn’t lecture anyone on lecturing anyone.

Ha. I wouldn’t even be surprised if that were true.

Whatever you may think of the current American administration, its entertainment value is so high - observed from a few thousand miles away - that it pretty much trumps everything else coming from your part of the world, Hollywood included.

American news have become fascinating, because there will be almost daily something that I did not expect to happen.

Of course, if France were to choose Marine Le Pen, we Europeans would top the box office again, but I’m sure, you’d accept that challenge too.
