I’ll bet money Kash Patel, the Director of the FBI, doesn’t know the difference between a person of interest and a suspect.

When asking why this attack took place, the only logical answer is that is was ordered by Trump to deflect attention from the release of the Epstein birthday card.

Trump’s toadies don’t have the slightest clue how to run the bureaus and departments they’re in charge of. Patel announced that they had the subject, not because he heard through channels within the FBI, but because he saw on Xitter that someone was in custody, and decided it had to be the guy.
While everything about this is appalling, I do find it hard to get this bit of Dickens out of my head:

I will admit that I don’t like some of the changes my beliefs have undergone over the last ten years. When someone attempt to assassinate Trump I just felt numb inside. I should have been outraged someone tried to kill a candidate, but I couldn’t muster up any particular outrage, and I find that familiar numbness when it comes to Kirk. While I don’t think this is good for the country, I don’t particularly care that he’s dead. I want them to catch the person(s) who did this, but Kirk was a bad guy and I’m not going to miss him.
