A conservative commentator on Twitter wants to use the murder as an excuse to crush his enemies.
That’s not the first time I’ve seen someone compare Kirk’s shooting to the Reichstag fire, but it’s kind of wild seeing it come from someone on the right.
I’m just tired of people going straight to the Reichstag when the correct reference is clearly Horst Wessel.
They didn’t pay that close attention in history class.
If he was actually shot by someone on the left, sure, but the folks making the Reichstag comparison are insinuating a very different motive.
I understand the shooter was heard to shout “From Hell’s heart I st– wait, what do you mean, ‘different Kirk’?”

I just unfriended someone on FaceBook because they have been posting all kinds of crap about the Charlie Kirk “assassination”, which was obviously done by a “leftist”. This included a drawing of Kirk being held by Jesus, referring to him as a “true and faithful servant” (or some such drivel).

Charlie Kirk believed that gay people should be stoned to death, that the 1964 Civil Rights Act was a “huge mistake,” that we should legally be allowed to whip foreigners in the U.S., that Muslims only move here to destroy the country, that American Jews encourage anti-whiteness, that men should physically attack transgender people, that all women should submit to their husbands, and that Black professionals “steal” their jobs from more qualified white people.
He doesn’t look like he’s ever been to any boot camp either.
I saw one cartoon of a microphone on the ground, and Kirk asking Jesus, “Do you think someone will pick it up?” and Jesus saying “Oh yes, Kirk, someone will.”
I probably should be ashamed in even bringing it up. I read somewhere that ‘The Greatest Generation’ were avid hunters and shooters and that the biggest American gun problem, even more than ghost guns, were the hand-me-down guns of the estates of ‘The Greatest Generation’ and of ‘The Boomers’ who are dying off.

Far-right influencers and violent extremists are posting identifying details about people they view as celebrating or glorifying the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. The campaign has been swift and widespread and has already led to at least one person losing their job and others receiving death threats.
The people posting the identifying information include Chaya Raichik, who runs the hugely influential, hate-filled LibsofTikTok account on X, Trump-whisperer Laura Loomer, and former Proud Boy leader Enrique Tarrio.
Horst Wessel lied. Just like Kirk and trump.
The author says they feel sad for Kirk’s children.
