I’m not sure I understand what you are trying to do here. Are you arguing that Charlie Kirk’s horrible rhetoric was just not that bad when taken in its full context, and that therefore he’s basically a good guy?
Nobody should have to be murdered. That’s awful. But just because you agree with someone on a lot of things, that doesn’t mean they’re a good person. Just because they are entertaining, that doesn’t mean they’re a good person.
Likewise, just because someone is crass in venting their feelings on a random message board doesn’t mean they’re a bad person.
It’s pretty clear that history is being rapidly rewritten to canonize Charlie Kirk, martyr for Free Speech. Feel all the feelings you like towards Saint Charlie, but even if you believe he had only good intentions, it’s pretty hard to deny that his words came across to a lot of us as pretty awful, and, we believe, emboldened some pretty awful behavior among his admirers.

What horrible rhetoric? I do not know a lot about Charlie Kirk but what I have learned since he passed seems A-OK to me. I could do without the religious fervor to be honest, I can’t get behind that but it is what it is.
