Already done.
Long before the internet, there were individuals who’d yell “jump! jump!” at suicides, call the police with false tips during murder investigations, etc. No surprise, they’ve entered the political process via the ease of the digital age. Every comment section has them.
Why? Because life can be miserable, so let’s inject it with merriment to make it bearable. Merriment via injustice, cruelty, and ignorance? Great: better you than me, because it’s more realistic to inflict suffering than alleviate it.
Besides all the friends I made along the way I would have to say the best part of this thread is how you were exposed as a bunch of amoral brainrotted dickheads humble-cheering for the political assassination of a brilliant young man who was a husband, father of 2 very young children and just a well respected figure trying to promote dialogue and get more young people involved in politics.
Personally I also like how you can’t run away fast enough from me but you like to pretend you are such paladins for truth and justice. Enjoy your circle jerk. I’ll be here if you need me to inject another dose of reality into the conversation.
And, at the time I read the article, the first comment was by “pedro”. Coincidence? Connect the dot, sheeple!
I can’t speak about his “brilliance,” as I’ve only heard quotes of reprehensible things. No one (still) has posted anything interesting, kind, thoughtful, or insightful that he has ever said. But, maybe it’s out there. But I can question the “well respected” allegation. I haven’t heard anyone say that about him.
How do you like these? I couldn’t verify all of them but it seems consistent with his views.

By the way I’m still available to discuss other controversial Charlie Kirk quotes and share my opinion if asked. Sorry if I missed anyone asking. How about analyzing the quote on second amendment gun rights next?
Did he always speak in bumper stickers?
Some are clearly just something he’s repeating. Some are just wrong. Most are pretty bland.
But thank you. It does give me a flavor of his outlook.
How about quotes “humble-cheering for the political assassination of a brilliant young man” from this board?
A good piece on the Kirkette and the future if TPUSA
All taken out of context.
It’s completely disingenuous and frankly disgusting to pretend context doesn’t matter to understand what Kirk was trying to say.
Uncut video or how can we be sure it’s what he really said.
It’s quote chemistry, like adding baking soda to sulfuric acid. If you spout enough bland platitudes, they neutralize all of the truly awful things you’ve said.
I hope the Chicago Reader doesn’t go under any time soon because all the shit you like to vomit is going to be hard to scrape off the floor.
Look, a sea lion. Go away troll.
No he did not. There is a widely circulated video of his murder that disproves this.
You’re welcome.
Your going with the callback and ‘I’m rubber, you’re glue’? Dude, you don’t deserve to be banned as a troll.
Up your fucking game!
I’m beginning to think it’s a bot. It’s responses follow a certain pattern. We’re the test subjects.
Well, we know it can’t be Elon’s because it hasn’t started posting in the wrong threads.
His premise is false.
All US citizens’ rights originate with the Constitution and are defined by the Supreme Court
You may prove me wrong
Oh, thank you for pointing at yet another opportunity to get context that was grossly wrong from him. As noted, the right has blinders when they think their heroes are right.
The context that miss is missed is that Charlie was anti-science to the core. Just the reality that climate change is taught at college and not climate denial should be enough to tell all what he and Turning Point are trying to do.
There is also where they were getting supporters in their efforts to undermining college and universities, I remember reading that other Republican college groups complained that Charlie and his gang got a lot of student supporters with very unsavory ideologies. Some were dismissed by Turning Point eventually, but the complaint is still a valid one.
But the line about “debate and discussion” is a new version of the classic “teach the controversy”, and this is because Charlie had also the beliefs that keep on giving hate to colleges and universities: Creationism and climate change denial.
This story matters more now that the MAGA evangelical church has declared the church is not the mother of science. They have disowned science at least since the early 20th century. From the Scopes trial in Dayton, Tenn., in 1925 to a plethora of court cases attempting to enshrine intelligent design into the biology curriculum of public schools, evangelicals consistently opposed, resisted and attempted to destroy science.
The effort to stop evolution became a futile dream of evangelicals. No matter how many times they misused the word “theory,” to claim evolution was “only a theory,” they have lost again and again, not only in court, but in the universities where science is taught and in the public where evolution is accepted.
Yet for the determined evangelicals, evolution is far more than a mistaken scientific theory. It is the cutting edge of a dangerous and destructive materialism that threatens the heart and soul of our civilization and culture, and it must be opposed at all costs.
Cell biologist Kenneth Miller argues America’s scientific soul is now under attack from MAGA evangelicals. Universities are being subverted, science grants, projects and programs are being canceled or dismantled. An anti-vaxxer is now in charge of our nation’s health. Our president is a climate change denier.
In the name of God, conspiracy theories, misinformation, outright lies and political expediency, scientific evidence is replaced by opinion. From Charlie Kirk to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, we are bombarded with the opinion that global warming is a liberal hoax.
So, sorry, the discussion and debate Charlie was trying to get going, was clearly the continuation of the attempts at poisoning the education and science that he hated.
