Trump ally and conservative pundit Charlie Kirk shot at Utah event [now reported deceased, same date 10SEP2025]

I did not said that you numnuts, but @Procrustus and others did. As you show here, reading comprehension (or just plain reading, as you did not check the cite I made about how extreme Charlie and his ilk were/are) is not your strength, no wonder you fall for Wolves in Sheep’s clothing that demand to turn schools into extreme right anti-science, Christian nationalist outfits.

The LDS community is much better integrated than that. Trump has not demonstrated wisdom. I do not see the community backing Trump over an LDS youth. That is why I expect leniency in sentencing. Of course Utah is no longer all LDS.

I think you’re mistaking the relevant identities here.

That “LDS youth” is not going to be perceived as such, but rather as “that murderer.” Both identities are accurate, but the former raises questions about LDS identity that the community would rather not face, while the latter allows them to ignore that he was one of their own and pursue a swift and bloody vengeance… I mean, a dispassionate justice.

That depends on things we cannot see. LDS is not considered ‘Christian’ by other Protestant sects. So MAGA wants the votes but LDS is out if MAGA ever gets into power. The LDS youth is a person of value who must be dealt with by the community not by outsiders. I believe this will be accomplished quietly and effectively and entirely outside of Trump, MAGA and especially Kash Patel.

Again, I agree with your facts but not your interpretation. Because LDS perceive themselves as Christian, they tend to minimise the degree to which MAGA Protestants see them as Other. They perceive themselves as central and unproblematic, and will want reminders of their vulnerability swept aside as neatly as possible.

Fortunately we have the opportunity to watch as it unfolds.

“Gun rights advocate is in favor gun murder”. Har har.

Bye.

(shrugs)

Utah voted for Trump; and people who voted for Trump are lacking in wisdom, ethics, and concern for their fellow human beings. I expect that they’ll cheerfully sacrifice a “youth” to satisfy their God-King Trump.

It’s not, it’s exactly right, it’s the same language used to justify attacking Charlie Kirk and transparent from the desperate unsuccessful attempts here to cancel me.

It is just as funny as:

… Nope, it is really bad. Saying that it is worth it or unfortunate, is being as appalling as Lord Farquaad.

It is still a fantasy coming from you. What is real, is that you are propping up guys that demand to turn schools into extreme right, anti-science, Christian nationalist outfits.

Yes, you’re a legend in your own mind.

Pretty sure THIS was what you meant to say Pedro, assuming The Truth was of interest.

Before we continue I feel I should warn you that most people here and in the world at large think it is a waste of time and brain cells to talk to me because I’m a dipshit. Listening to my dimwitted racist rhetoric will prove I’m a huge bore. I’m a big fan of exhibiting my stupidity in public.

Happy to fix that for you!

Kirk:Republicans::Muhammed:Muslims.

I want to finish up on this because I didn’t get the chance. Let me know if this sounds like a guy who is talking seriously. This is the opening for the segment:

I’m not denying any reality, I just disagree with you or have different experiences. I’m not even saying it is impossible that Charlie Kirk meant the words “Submit to your husband” seriously in a humorous sketch. If true it just means he has traditional views of marriage and uses shitty biblical language to talk about it. I already knew he was an evangelical that likes to quote scripture. Big whoop.

There is more than I agree with him than disagree on this. Women can do whatever they want (duh) but if they want to be wives and mothers, that is a beautiful thing. Wokeism is supremely unattractive too.

If I said “submit to your husband” to my wife she would laugh or ask me if I’m having a stroke. I never heard anyone else talk like this seriously either, other than some fundamentalist religious communities in the US, but I’ll admit my circle of friends aren’t evangelical and I just tune out that bullshit.

Not a fan I presume. I do not capitalize random words and please do not insinuate otherwise. That is also a lesser well known symptom of liberal brain rot (bolding mine):

Did Mr. Kirk have a sense of humour at at all? Even a malicious vindictive one?

Yes he did, Mr. “I bid you adieu”.

Stephen King already apologized for taking the “stoning gays” quote out of context, I’ll accept his apology in your name, anything else you guys need explained? Sorry to be so insistent but it seems kind of important.

Kind of a stretch given the company I keep here but let’s not quibble on details.

Anyway today I saw this really interesting take online: “People who react like this to the Charlie Kirk assassination are just miserable in their lives and deserve some compassion.”
