Edit: I mean, you rephrased “damaging information” to be “information on Hillary or DNCs criminal misdeeds”–a phrase that appears nowhere in the email exchange (“incriminating” is the word that was used, not a word whose utility is exclusively in the criminal domain).

Sure, it’s unlikely there was info on criminal misdeeds, since it’s unlikely there were criminal misdeeds. But it seems very plausible at this point that some information about DNC emails was exchanged at this meeting. Your evidence that it was a nothingburger meeting is solely Trump Jr’s testimony to that effect, right?

We started at four attendees, then five, now at least six (Goldstone, plus “others” unknown to Akhmetshin). And we have documents possibly being passed. It sure would be nice to have those made public.

And, at no point did anyone in the room think, “Uh, maybe we should involve the FBI in this? Foreign citizens are alleging illegal campaign contributions. We should report this to the authorities.” I’m not a politician, but I think if someone presented me evidence of a major crime, I’d probably realize that I should report it.

Would failure to report this be a crime? Honest question. Assuming the lawyer passed documents with evidence of illegal campaign contributions, did anyone in the room have a legal obligation to turn it over to the FBI or other authorities?

Yeah, many of us were thinking the kompromat was the Hotel Piss Party or some shady deals with the Russian mob or something. And it turns out to be a fucking email chain. That’s apparently all it takes to humble the world’s greatest superpower.

It’s amazing that some take Jr’s word at face value. Like he’s trustworthy, and has no reason to outright lie to avoid the upcoming shitstorm. Yes, there is evidence: The Russians DID hack our system, DID spam with phony pro-Trump/anti Hillary “articles”. ALL for the benefit of Trump. Let that sink in…they were working for Trump for sure.
