Despite being in P&E, it is a breaking news thread. It’s very difficult to discuss without some politics creeping in, but let’s not make speculation the main focus.

I think it would be wise to not assume anything who did this at this point. Unfortunately there are far too many unhinged people in this country at this point to do that. This person may have simply wanted the attention, to go out in a blaze of ‘glory,’ etc. etc. etc.

The internet is ahead of the news of course. There is video of ESU approaching the body of the shooter on the roof. All you can see is he appears to be a white male wearing a military themed t shirt.
Just tuning into this news. The news is being very careful not to say Trump was hit. Does the blood on his face have another explanation, like being tackled by security?
Some reports said he was hit by glass, possibly by a teleprompter screen that was hit. It’s not clear.
Not always for the better, IMO. It’s also a lot less sober and accurate than even the worst mainstream outlet, and I count stuff like One America News among them.

Absolutely. There are some names being circulated that have already been debunked.
