Trump bloody after shots fired at a Trump Rally: Jul 13, 2024

I found this sequence on Reddit. The first photo looks identical to the bullet photo.

A modern DSLR can hit 1/4000 sec shutter speed (or even 1/8000 s), and the scene was brightly lit, so it might be in that range. 2000 fps at 1/2000 s shutter is 1 foot–about what the streak looks like (within a factor of 2 in each direction).

I read that he had no ID on him, and that they’re attempting to trace the gun. Have you read/seen something that says they’ve identified him, or are you speaking more hypothetically?

Major US media will want to get a corroborating witness first to avoid accusations that they are slandering law enforcement on the scene. If what redhead dude says is accurate, the cops and secret service were grossly incompetent today.

Given the hand movement, I’d presume those shots are a second or two apart. The angle on the (possible) bullet doesn’t look right to hit his ear, but several were fired and so it was likely a different one between the first and second shot.

Why would you have the camera at such a high shutter speed for ordinary shots?

Just passing on what a security expert said on the news.

Look up prices on Colt AR-15s. (I really need to thin my collection. But I’ll keep the Colts.)

You let the camera choose the shutter speed.

Why would the camera choose such a high speed?

DSLRs have astonishingly good sensitivity these days. They look great even at ISO 25,600. May as well use a super-high shutter speed so that the shots are always sharp.

Depends on what new info you want. We have learned this evening that Biden is returning to the White House instead of staying in Delaware; we know where the shooter was and what kind of gun he used; we’ve been told that the FBI is taking over the investigation; we’ve had it confirmed that one person in the crowd was killed and another seriously injured. I just heard that Biden has spoken personally to Trump.

What we don’t know yet is the identity of the shooter, and whatever motive he had, and we’re not going to find that out until the FBI is dead sure about the identity and has a chance to get into his residence and look for evidence.

Not some random nut job, but an actual elected representative nut job. Disgusting.

Because you had the aperture fairly wide open. Plus you can just stand on the shutter release and get tons of shots.

Thanks for the compilation of info!

Pretty cunning for a doddering old man.

Cue the new conspiracy theories about the Deep State trying to assassinate Trump.

Gerrymandered electorates
Disproportional representation
Active voter suppression
Executive interference in electoral process
Violent insurgency disrupting transfer of power
Politicised judiciary
Presidential immunity from prosecution
Doddering old men propped up in power by enablers
Political assassination attempts

Remember that list of recent achievements next time some 'merkin runs their mouth off about governance in shit hole countries.

I think that crosses the line into actual sueable slander.

To be fair, when the FBI blew their chance in the Mar-A-Lago raid, what choice did Biden have??
