Trump friends had plan to discredit his "enemies' in government

Including his own national security advisor. H R McMaster

Nobody has a comment on this?

I imagine nobody is in the least bit surprised. Trump’s got a tsunami of litigation headed his way, toss this on the pile.

The results of this plan and whatever attempts were made to actually carry it out seem pretty thin. From that perspective, yay. I always said (in my head) that our government institutions are too robust to fall prey to this kind of effort in the short term.

Of course it’s awful and disgusting for a President or any government official to engage in these kinds of behaviors, or to encourage them in their supporters. It is not news that right-wing backers of the disgraced former president are awful and disgusting people.

somewhere Tricky Dick is smiling

I, for one, am surprised, nay shocked!, that Trump and his supporters had authoritarian tendencies and used authoritarian methods.

It worked. McMaster was totally discredited by being named to a major role in the Trump administration.
