the charges are: 11 for false check (to cohen), 11 for false invoices (cohen again), and 12 for false general ledger (trump org). they all interconnect.
to reimburse cohen, trump org had cohen create false invoices for “legal services”. then trump org and trump created false checks to pay the false invoices; then trump org created false general ledger entries to account for the false checks.
there were 11 false check and 11 false invoices as cohen combined jan and feb for one invoice and trump org issued one check. trump org split the ledger entry of that invoice.
it would be difficult to split that series of events.

Because breaking news threads are the purview of MPSIMS, not P&E. Personally, I think the thread is about played out, and I hope people will use the other open threads now. It may be better to lock this one. The event is over and the indictment is now known.
