I think there will be political pressure from Republicans in Congress and governors to see something done “for his protection”. The judges might not be directly constrained but I can see Appeals courts weighing in, and as I said, the Supreme Court is liable to do anything.
I’m glad there’s this much thought going on to how to do it. Gives me some relief we might actually see it.
