Yup and clearly too many brown people managed to become American this way for the Trump regime, so they want that to stop. As well as, you know, most of the people to ever make a major contribution to American society in any form, but thats a sacrifice they are willing to make for the purity of the American bloodline 
Your statement that “it won’t affect them or people who have green card” led me to believe that you thought there was a difference between permanent residents and green card holders.
I just meant this specifically affects those who are in the (stupidly long and complicated) bureaucratic process of applying for a green card, not those who are just on a visa or have already got a green card.
Another example of bad reporting here. It’s not actually clear from the article if that’s the case or not. The article says “People applying for permanent residency. . . .will have to go through consular processing outside the country instead” which implies yes. But then the quote from the USCIS says "When aliens apply from their home country, it reduces the need to find and remove those who decide to slip into the shadows and remain in the U.S. illegally after being denied residency.” which implies no. An actual journalist doing their job would actually ask a follow up question to clarify this rather than just thoughtless quoting the regime verbatim.
