Trump sues Hillary Clinton, many others

In short, Trump is suing Hillary and a bunch of others alleging a conspiracy to ruin his life and prevent his election in 2016 by supposedly falsely linking him to Russian efforts at influencing the election.

Looks bananas. Can’t wait for discovery!

Um… he won in 2016…

Hard to prove damages during an election when you won said election.

Sooooo…LET’S ALL SUE TRUMP!

Note that his lawyer in this is Alina Habba

I want to be sued by tanTrump too! It is my constitutionally guaranteed right, I am sure, even if I am not a US citizen. I’ll invade the USA personally if necessary! Just to be clear: I did my best to insult him and am ready to insult him again any time he wishes.

Fifty bucks Ten quatloos says that Benjamin Ghazi’s name appears on Trump’s witness list.

When reached for comment, Clinton’s response was “WAMW”

I remember hearing Mark Levin call some Democratic politician a “slip and fall lawyer” because Republicans really can’t stand frivolous lawsuits.
But then again, they’re in a tough battle with their love for hypocrisy.

When I saw the article headline “Trump Sues Everyone Who Ever Offended Him Over 2016 Election” I honestly thought at first it was an Onion-style satire article. Then I saw it was Talking Points Memo…

…and I still wasn’t sure. I thought, “did TPM become a satire site recently?” Or maybe TPM got a satire writer, the way Time magazine use to have Joel Stein writing satirical articles. Then I read the article.

…and I’m still not sure if it’s for real.

This.

When the defendants get to start requesting documents from Trump and the Trump campaign this lawsuit will either be dropped or cause serious problems for Trump.

I’m not very far into, but there are hilarious inaccuracies in almost every paragraph.

e.g.

At the same time, Michael Sussmann, in his hunt for damaging intel against the Trump Campaign, turned to Neustar, Inc., an information technology company, and one of its top executives, Rodney Joffe, a fervent anti-Trumper who had recently been promised a high-ranking position with the Clinton Administration, to exploit their access to non-public data in search of a secret “back channel” connection between Trump Tower and Alfa Bank. When it was discovered that no such channel existed, the Defendants resorted to truly subversive measures – hacking servers at Trump Tower, Trump’s private apartment, and, most alarmingly, the White House.

This is a vast misunderstanding of the DNS info the cyber researches looked at and how they obtained that info.

“Your honor, this entire lawsuit is nothing but a Democrat Party ploy to gain illegal access to Mr. Trump’s personal information!”

“But you filed the lawsuit.”

“That just proves how sneaky and duplicitous the Democrat Party is!”

Based on that I have a new theory.

The purpose of this lawsuit is to keep Turmp and Hubba busy and out of the way so that the rest of his legal team can deal with the cases that actually matter.

You’d think by now Trump would be running out of lawyers willing to file frivolous lawsuits. I guess it’s a bottomless well.

Sadly, I’m sure the entire point of the lawsuit is to publicize on right-wing media and fund-raise from it. None of however many sane people are left in the Trump camp except it to go to trial or want it to do so. It exists solely as propaganda.

First takes:

  1. The writing comes across more as a novel than a legal document. That immediately strikes one as suspicious, though that doesn’t implicitly mean that it’s nonsense so I suppose that it doesn’t really matter.
  2. Getting in to the meat of the matter, they start to accuse criminal activities starting around page 17 and 18 / points 69 and 70. I notice that for the points above and below - where no criminal activity is alleged - they include citations. For these two, they provide no evidence for the accusation. I have a feeling like this is going to be the general flow of things.

From your cite:

In January, she gave copious amounts of side-eye to U.S. District Judge Brenda K. Sannes and Magistrate Judge Christian F. Hummel, telling a Newsmax host, “We have our cards stacked against us in New York. We’re in the northern district, we have judges that you know are mostly liberal unfortunately… if the judge can put his politics on the side, this should be granted and we should win.”

Wow.

Where I’m from, that would amount to self-termination of one’s legal career, with maximum prejudice.

I like this theory. Hubba is Trump’s latest idiot mouthpiece (one of a long line). She is racking up kudos with Trump by filing a nonsensical lawsuit that none of the rest of his legal team want to touch. He’s probably been raging about wanting to file this suit for years, and his legal team have been carefully distracting him and stalling - as one does with a raging toddler. Now they have enthusiastically embraced the idea of her pursuing this for him, which both gets rid of her when she gets thrown under the bus, and and gets Trump off their back about filing this suit.

The activities are both criminal and proven. However, what is criminal is unproven, and what is proven is not criminal.

. . . And mostly neither, I gather.

Too lazy to read, does any part of it mention Middle Earth?
