Personally, I just refer to him as the sexual predator. I will never say or write his name and I certainly will never refer to the p-word in full and of course never with the full p-word followed by his name, just as I never referred W or Reagan as the full p-word.

Well, sure, ever since Dimebag was killed.
Panera’s box isn’t empty, but it is filled with shitty bread rolls.
And, of course, Panam’s box was sold to creditors in the '90s.
(In tonight’s performance of A Man For All Seasons , the part of Roper has been played by BobLibDem and the part of More Has been played by Bricker . )
William Roper : So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!
Sir Thomas More : Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?
William Roper : Yes, I’d cut down every law in England to do that!
Sir Thomas More : Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!

If you mean “Trump is going to actually do what the Republicans have been falsely claiming Obama did”, then quite possibly.
Lies, truth…what’s the difference anymore, right?
Banquet_Bear:
…the press most certainly shouldn’t have recorded the meeting.
And they should abide by the agreement that the meeting was “off the record.”
But once it became clear that this was was not the meeting they expected: the press had a duty to leave the room. And all media should now agree to no further off the record meetings with this administration. If that means that their access to the White House gets “cut”: then so be it. The media cannot be complicit in this “new way of doing business.” The Trump Empire have already demonstrated they are masters of controlling the message.
But they are peddling propaganda. What was said today in the meeting with the New York Times was propaganda. This is the new normal. And the media need to adapt to the new normal: and quickly.
From the Washington Post , about that media meeting “off the record”:
The meeting was a huge success — for Donald Trump.
Soon after it broke up, a leak to the New York Post brought on a story about how thoroughly the president-elect had taken the attendees to task.
With attribution to anonymous tipsters, the Post wrote: “The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing-down. . . . Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful, dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ ”
So, after he ;eaked his version of the “off the record” meeting, those called to the meeting let a few details escape. Yesterday:
The Times played it right. Despite a tweet attack from the president-elect, editors refused to go the off-the-record route with Trump, which was his preference, for obvious reasons — because he wanted again to control the story.
With the exception of a brief off-the-record conversation between Times Publisher Arthur Sulzberger and the president-elect, the meeting was fair game for news stories — as it should be.
Diane Sawyer literally worked for the Nixon administration (press aide)
John Chancellor literally worked for the LBJ administration (director of Voice of America)
Edward R. Murrow literally worked for the Kennedy administration (director of USIA)
Bernard Kalb literally worked for the Reagan administration (assistant Secretary of State)
Andrea Mitchell is literally married to Alan Greenspan, who literally worked in the Nixon and Ford administrations, and was first appointed Federal Reserve Board chairman by Ronald Reagan.
Your point is?
George Stephanopoulos is a shill the democrat party not an objective reporter. Neither is Diane Sawyer. Never heard of those other people you mentioned.

What I can’t get is, why would the press care? They have the power. They can report whatever and however they want. (Yes, they could lose close access, but the facts still exist. They can be found and reported.)
We still have a first amendment. Thank god.
Well, being old enough to remember more than one election helps in that.
If you’ve never heard of John Chancellor orAndrea Mitchell , then you’ve never heard of network news.
If you’ve never heard of Edward R. Murrow , then you’ve never heard of journalism. And I am very sad for you.
Sometimes these revelations are a clue to where the post originates. For example, some particular poster might never have heard of Edward R. Murrow, yet might well know the names of all the 1917 Communists who never ran afoul of Stalin (and who thus weren’t erased from the history books).
You must have just been born dude. So you got puberty coming up and who knows, you might just become a progressive. It’s a tricky age. Happens all the time.

Edwin L. who?
I told you not to mention those 1917 people again!! Now I got to go get a colonic.
Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Peter Parker are the only journalists I trust.

Yep, we’ve got millions proudly proclaiming how dirt-iggerant they are. I mean, who needs to know anything between 34 A.D. and last week? Thanks for playing. Bye, now.

If you don’t trust any of the sources you use, why do you use them…beside the fact that they tell you what you want to hear?

If you intended this response to be a witty rejoinder, you failed.
If you intended it to strengthen your original argument, you failed at that, as well.

Lest we forget the biggest shill of them all Dan Rather the CBS news anchor who was fired for pushing forged documents about George W. Bush.
Give me Ron Burgundy any day.
