Trump threatens to sue Univision and NBC: Case can haz legs?

I was thinking along the lines of it being like yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Or, now that corporations are people, allowing them to participate in acts of civil disobedience?

Because of course you can simply buy something the owner has no desire to sell? :dubious:

NBC is owned 51% by Comcast and 49% by GE. Comcast paid GE $6.5 billion for that 51% back in 2009, making NBC worth $13 billion SIX YEARS AGO. This is considerably more than even the most self-inflated net worth Trump can imagine.

In March 2013, Comcast bought the rest of NBC Universal, so GE no longer owns any of it.

Ah, missed that. Thanks.

Point is still that Trump cannot “just buy” something not for sale, and it is worth several times more than than he is on his best day.

I am probably going to lose this case, but I seem to be the advocate for that side. I don’t think the matter comes down to what Trump would do if elected president. I think the act of Trump characterizing Mexicans as rapists and drug pushers accomplishes the end of the race war tactic, namely popularizing this image. Stigmatize Mexicans as criminals and it will be that much easier to incarcerate them en masse.

He did it once. If he is on your network, he very may well do it again. Is your network the platform for that kind of trash?
