Trump vs. Google. Can anyone possibly defend this?

If Trump hadn’t won there would be no talk of social media needing to monitor speech. This is a new era. The sheeple are tuning out of mainstream media. Social media has allowed them to see what is really going on. The globalists are going berserk: they want to go back to when the sheeple were easily brainwashed by the mainstream media. They shut down Alex Jones as part of that attempt. We need to vote all republican to stop a bogus impeachment of Trump, who is standing up to the globalists for the American people.

Paging Poe…

Globalist, huh. Could you be more specific as to the attributes of these individuals?

That is a silly post after seeing the evidence that Dice, Dotcom and Donald reach a global audience and use it to mislead many.

Piffle.

Seeing how the evidence points to a lot of global corruption in the financial world as being a suporter of Trump, it is clear that what I observed years ago stands. Fighting against that global corruption is also a fight to counter the rise of the new fascism seen growing around the world.

Supporters of Trump think that they are doing a good thing but they are in reality supporting ignorance to enrich global criminals. Corrupt leaders or wannabe enablers like Trump are twisting nationalism to protect that corruption.

Sure, there would have been such talk. Even if he had lost the election, the lies that he spread using that media and the efforts of his Russian friends to foster his campaign would have required attention to ensure that such underhanded stunts were not employed in future elections. Mueller’s probe is an extension of an FBI investigation that was already under way before the election, regardless who won.

You are correct that this is a new era. The laws that were written over hundreds of years to provide a balance between allowing freedom of speech while preventing fraud and libel in printed media have to be reconsidered in light of electronic and interactive media. That hardly makes the abusers of such media, such as Jones, the good guys in this reconsideration. Jones has used his “pulpit” to promote lies and libels, attacking people in ways that are personally painful.

Your use of the word sheeple is interesting in that it indicates a disdain for the general public while favoring and promoting those who prey upon the public.
Similarly, your use of the word globalist, a dog whistle frequently employed to mean a massive Jewish conspiracy, harkens back to the long discredited Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion.

Your choice of language, denigrating two separate groups of people, calls into question your sincerity and suggests that your information, to say nothing of your sources, can be dismissed as more conspiracy claptrap.

He might think they’re all fans of Jimmy Eat World. World is even in the name, open your eyes sheeple!

You might be on to something there…

People claiming to be anti-facist support deplatforming Alex Jones, a facist act. You can’t win on substance, so you paint your opponents as racist, sexist, etc. And when there is no actual evidence of that, you say it is there but you don’t hear it because it is like an inaudible dog whistle. Complete BS.

Meh, Jones is yet another very, very bad example to use, and as a source.

Well, your points so far are not that, all right; just ignorant.

What action by the Government has ‘deplatformed’ Alex Jones? Is he in prison? is he now suddenly unable to speak or get his message out?

Quite the contrary - while his ‘free publicity’ on a couple of websites may no longer be there, he is still quite free to spew his bullshit all over the internet - he just has to pony up the resources to do so.

Alex Jone’s BS is obvious BS - he’s been beat on substance multiple times - just a few of the sites he took advantage of got tired of giving him the platform to spew his BS.

Kim Dotcom started a search engine? That’s news to me.

This was an interesting video to watch, in light of this thread.

What was interesting about it? Much is made of the fact that they were disappointed by Trump’s victory, (they do tend to be smart, after all), and not one person voiced the opinion that they should mess with their algorithms or change their decision logic to harm pro-Trump expressions.
So, we have a bunch of geeks expressing political passion and holding to an ethical business model.
I guess that could be interesting. I would say expected.
