Rats and a sinking ship springs to mind. A vote would probably had very bad optics.
So… will Trump stand by his bluff that repeal is now off the table and he will move on?
Or will he say: " I said, I’ll move on when it doesn’t get enough votes. Technically, there hasn’t been a vote, so I can still try and get it repealed whenever I need a distraction. "

The problem with the bill was that it provided no coverage for chronic stupidity and lying.

According to CNN, some (most? pretty much all of the?) House Democrats are chanting, “Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote!” Is that such a wise thing to do? Don’t they risk some Republicans switching from No to Yes just to spite the Democrats?
They need less than 15 Republicans to vote No. With the monstrosity that is the current AHCA, many moderate Republicans, especially those from the Northeast, consider it political suicide.

Without the mandate and without enforcing the ACA, I fear it will all come true.
