The current FBI director still has three and a half years left on his term. I can’t imagine he intends to go quietly.
That sort of vengeance-seeking is more than a little disturbing to see in a proposed government appointee.
The only reason why Christopher Wray has his job is because Trump fired his predecessor. He doesn’t have to “go quietly” but there’s nothing Wray can do to prevent Trump from firing him.
I’m aware. It’s not going to be a smooth transition.
Well, yeah, I think you can pretty much say that across the board.
As per Kash patel own words…he will declassify (may be with Presidential approval ?) the JFK files, Epstein list and Diddy lists.
If he actually does that…atleast one good outcome. Child sex offenders, if any, in the Epstein and Diddy lists to be prosecuted and severely punsihed as per the law. It’s the most heinous of crimes.
Fingers crossed…
I’m sure that anyone named Trump on those lists will be redacted.
Epstien, not JFK. As awful as Trump is, even I don’t think he had anything to do with JFK’s assasination.
I hope ALL the names on the Epstein and Diddy lists are revealed whoever they may be…absolutely all names unredacted.
I dare him to give us the unredacted Epstein files.
I wished and hoped Biden did that rather than Kash Patel. Releasing the unredacted Epstein list I mean.
Its horrifying such acts as alleged happened and the american public have the right to know who were the perpetrators.
There is another 50 days to go…I really hope Biden does that.
Apologies…I did not mean to offend anyone. Its just that I have strong views on child sex crimes
I think you shouldn’t get your expectations up. He won’t.
With Patel getting in, Trump then IS government. The Senate and Supreme Court will not stop him.
If they have enough evidence to prove a crime, then the public will know through the normal legal process.
But issuing a list of names of people there isn’t enough evidence to successfully prosecute, so the public knows who to hate, if that is Patel’s idea, is a big reason why he should not be confirmed.
Do you really believe that? When you have ring-kissers in control of every branch of the government and immunity for the Don for pretty much everything, I seriously doubt anything that portrays Trump or his sycophants/contributors in a bad light will come into the public domain. Not while he is in office and Rs control congress, anyway. You know the saying - “Power corrupts…”
BTW, I’m not saying the whole Epstein files should be public but if elected and other high officials are in them, the public should know about it. If they are innocent of anything, let them explain. If they feel its not fair, they can step down or remove themselves from consideration.
I thought the claim was that the Biden administration is covering up for the guilty.
My only problem is that appearance in those Epstein files isn’t proof that someone was guilty of a crime; certainly not to the extent that they can be prosecuted.

[If they are innocent of anything, let them explain.
I see Dewey_Finn just said this more concisely, but:
The explanation would be that they have been smeared by unethical Justice Department employees releasing names of people where there is no probable cause to bring them to trial. I do not need to know the names of the people to realize this would be the complete and proper explanation.
Why would I want to see likely innocent people smeared?
The reason to oppose Patel is NOT that he would only smear Democrats. The reason is that the FBI should not be releasing names of people they claim to be guilty, but know it cannot be proven, of any political party.
With Gabbard, Patel and Bondi, we are doomed.
