Trump's Republican primary campaign

Why the heck SHOULDN’T he?

He was asked. He didn’t refuse to answer though. His answer was to say he wasn’t sure if the KKK was bad and he needs to do more research. Seriously.

Stop making lame excuses for him that anyone can see through, it’s pathetic.

And it’s debatable whether the KKK has no influence today.

Donald Trump eagerly attacks Mexicans, Muslims, journalists, newspapers, scientists, women who are pretty enough for him, women who breastfeed, war heroes who are taken prisoner, Macy’s, Apple, fat people, disabled people and the Pope.

But he has to be careful and do more research before condemning the KKK?

I damn near sprayed coffee all over the place when the TV played this statement straight from the horse’s ass:
You wouldn’t want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about.
Clearly you’ve never met my mother in law.

The way the left seems to define “white supremacist” today, I wouldn’t expect any Republican to denounce any generic “white supremacist group”:

White majority? Racist white supremacy!
White culture? Racist white supremacy!
Patriotic Americans? Racist white supremacists!
Conservative Christians? Racist white Supremacists!
Proud that our ancestors fought and died to create and defend this Country?
Racist white supremacists!!!

But they didn’t ask about a generic white supremacist group - they asked about the KKK.

Will the lame excuses never end?

Are you seriously disputing that the KKK is a white supremacist organization by anyone’s definition?

I take it you would defend Trump no matter what.

Even the KKK says the KKK is white supremacist.

Love it! I would add, “Reporters who ask him tough questions.”

Jan Brewer (former AZ governor) just endorsed Trump.

The alcoholic racist? That Jan Brewer? This Jan Brewer?

So, VP material?

I think this is a straw man, but I can’t even parse it – what does “white majority” mean… advocating for a white majority? Being part of a white majority? A nation or region or city with a white majority? I’d ask for a cite, but I don’t even know what you’re trying to say.

(See post 2102 above)

I wouldn’t expect Trump to follow an interviewer’s lead into that trap.

He’s trying to say that because some liberal somewhere unfairly called somebody white supremacist, Trump doesn’t have to condemn the fucking Klan.

A TRAP? You mean like asking Sarah Palin what newspapers she reads? That kind of trap?

What is the followup that you would expect? How does this trap get triggered?

New national CNN poll has Trump up to 49-fucking-percent. Rubio at 16 and Cruz at 12. 10 and 6 for Carson and Kasich respectively… Just need to consolidate that establishment lane, huh?

People like to back a winner and right now Trump is a winner of the steamroller variety. I was somebody that thought his ceiling in the primaries would be in the low to mid-30s but at this point I’m worried Trump’s next ceiling is in the Oval Office.

But he DID fall into the trap, by NOT denouncing the KKK.

How fucking hard is it to denounce the worst racist, terrorist group in our history? It was an easy softball. He trapped himself by refusing to do it. And it says an awful lot about him.

Everything he says, says an awful lot about him. And it’s not working.
