Looks like it was produced by Jimmy McGill.
um… what?
Was that an attempt to joke? If so, please use emojis.
Okay, I am going to fess up a bit here because I’m just that kind of conscientious, scrupulously honest person (modest as hell, too!).
Not long after the stuff I posted earlier (when I really did consciously believe what I was saying), my wife came in the room and I did something that I just realized I do all the time without really thinking about it. I responded to something she said with “Ja, Fraulein Schvitzendorfer?” (The next time, it might be “Jawhol, Fraulein Horgenschlieber”: it changes each time into some random “German” name I make up.) So, yeah: “German” sounds funny, sometimes. (Other times, you have names like “Meyer”, “Becker”, and “Bauer”, that aren’t funny at all.)
But I just don’t think this is some giant outrage. To compare it with making fun of Chinese names just doesn’t scan. Hundreds of years ago, Vikings conquered a lot of Northern Europe and beyond. Then their descendants conquered farther and wider (the British Empire in particular, plus of course WWII.) The Germanic countries still have very strong economies today, and we are talking about pale-skinned, blue-eyed people who have been treated as the pop culture ideal until very recently. I don’t think we need to cry too much for them.
I mean, do you also get exercised over the Swedish Chef on The Muppet Show?
That’s the guy.
"Gimme Donald!"What do the Vikings have to do with this?
Slacker is claiming that Germans have Viking privilege, and are thus ineligible for the victim status that would be required for Drumpf to be a tasteless, bigoted slur.
Yessss! Now please don’t give any crazy bad comment till June and then till November.
The Donald is incapable of such restraint.
2 bad comments, 1 on abortions, 1 on global warming. Rest of whatever I heard seems OK in my book.
(I am not an American but I don’t mind anti-immgration comments)
I think his campaign may have hit on the solution: let him speak for a few minutes and then whisk him off the stage.
OTOH, lots of independents, not registered as either Dems or Repubs, would like to vote in the primary for Trump, or Hillary, or Bernie, but they can’t vote for anyone.
Good! Nice to see a big state take party membership seriously.
One of Trump’s foreign policy advisers, Joseph Schmitz, is involved in a lawsuit in Montana against two Native American tribes, claiming they are conspiring with Turkey to develop nuclear weapons in order to spread a Turkish form of Islam.
Racist former New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Palladino used racial slurs against President Obama while celebrating Trump’s New York victory(Palladino stood right behind Trump at his victory speech last night).
“Coon” is the slur.
“Racoon” is an animal well known to many people for ending up where it shouldn’t be.
I have never heard “racoon” used as a racial slur. He couldn’t use “rat”, that nickname belongs to Cruz.
Where do you think “coon” came from?
From the word raccoon. Just like the word pickininny came from the Portuguese word for small. That doesn’t mean every reference to a black person as small has a racial dimension. The alteration of the original term is what identifies it as a slur.

Trump’s anti-Muslims views are well known, but he doesn’t much like Native Americans, either.

Yeah, real good neutral source
