This is a long-shot, but I was watching Red Dragon and I noticed an actor in the background of a scene who has had some decent sized roles in other movies. I expected him to be playing a supporting role in this film, but his character never spoke and wasn’t seen again. I’ve checked every credit on IMDb, but he isn’t listed.
Anyway, now it’s annoying me because I can’t remember where I’ve seen him before. The only way I can describe him is that he’s well-built and is kind of sad-looking (and in his 40s?)
I’ve seen him a lot in the last few years, but it always seems to be in smaller character roles. Any ideas who this might be?
Sorry, yeah I guess that would help! It’s the scene where Will Graham is talking to a large audience of seated cops, early in the film. The actor is one of the people in the room.
Not Frankie Faison, he’s listed in the IMDb credits for Red Dragon.
You’re probably thinking of Bill Duke. was it a big, bald guy? He’s been in several of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movies, including “Predator” and “Commando.”
As an actor, he tends to play thugs and heavies… but from what I’ve heard, he’s a very cerebral guy who’s a very good director, both in fil and in theater.
Are you serious? I mean, I’ve only said he’s not listed in the IMDb credits for the movie THREE TIMES. That list of names on the IMDb page for Red Dragon… this guy isn’t there or I would already know who he is.
Has anyone actually read my original post? Or my second post? Or my third post?
I said * I can’t remember where I’ve seen him before*. So then someone asks me Name a couple of his other movies. WTF?
I’ve also said I’ve checked every credit on IMDb, but he isn’t listed. Then someone said Frankie Faison, who’s listed in the credits for Red Dragon. So I re-iterated that it’s not an actor listed in the IMDb credits.
Then someone else says Bill Duke, who, like Frankie Faison, is also listed in the IMDb credits. I thought maybe they hadn’t checked IMDb and just remembered seeing Bill Duke in the film. But in that case they’d know that he had a decent sized speaking role, so it couldn’t be him either. So I said again that this guy is not listed in the IMDb credits. I even provided a link to the IMDb credits, just so anyone could double check.
And now someone says Is it Sho Brown?. Who’s listed in the IMDb credits. :smack: They even have his photo in the list of names.
When I said THIS ACTOR IS NOT LISTED IN THE IMDB CREDITS, what did people think I meant?
Apparently my original question was; *Hey guys, let’s play a game - go to IMDb and look at the credits for Red Dragon and name an African-American actor! * I always knew this was an obscure question, but what’s the point of ignoring my original description? That was rhetorical. I’m wasting my time here.
Don’t let me stop you lot playing though, here’s that list of Red Dragon cast members again. Maybe in this round of the game you could try to name a British actor from the list. Have fun!
Dude, talk about not reading posts. I asked you, 2nd post, to name any other movies that the guy you’re looking for might be in. You didn’t respond, not even with a post saying you didn’t know of any of his other movies.
Read, or at least read for comprehension before you go off the deep end.
I think you’re looking for Sir John Gielgud (the CGI version).
I had a very similar question come up just this past weekend! I was watching Enter the Dragon on TV and there was this Asian guy in this one scene. He didn’t speak and he wasn’t in any other scene. He wasn’t listed in the credits.
You know, that one guy, in that one scene, kind of over to the side, next to that other guy? No, not that one, further to the right . . . further . . . further . . . stop. Yeah. Him.
Who was that white guy in that movie? You know the famous one.
He’s been in a lot of other movies, but I can’t remember which ones. If you don’t know, I’ll be really pissed!
